Nicole by OPI Iris My Case

*Product Purchased By Me

Hey guys! Today I have a short post for you, just one polish to show you.

This is an older polish. This polish, Nicole by OPI's Iris My Case was a polish that came out back in Fall 2012 as a Target exclusive polish, along with four other polishes.

I have swatched this polish once before, but was very unsuccessful with application and images, so I thought I'd redo it because my skills in both departments have improved immensely in my eyes.

This is a duochrome polish. It is purple with flashes of gold and a golden green. I did three coats for my new swatch.

Here is what my swatch of it over half a year ago was like. You can see lines and bubbles in the polish and notice that the image is fuzzy.

In my new swatch of this polish, there are no bubbles (the one on my ring finger is just a rough bit of my nail), the image is more sharp and clear, and also I now watermark. Oh, and I have a much better swatch position.

Since it is a new year, I figure I'd go back to my earlier times of swatching polish and show how far I've come in just over 7 months. You can check my Facebook page, which I tabbed at the top of my page, to see another I posted on my page this week, LA Colors Jewel Tone.

Well, I hope you guys enjoyed this short post and look back. I'll talk to you guys later, bye!

  1. I just did my first review (catchthelightnails@blogspot.com ) and need to improve and learn. Can you help me with watermarking? I love your reviews. I can't believe it's only been 7 months since you began!

    1. Hmm, it appears the tutorial I used to do watermarking, I can't seem to find it anymore. But here is another great one that teaches you how to do a curved watermark: http://www.kaylashevonne.com/2013/01/tutorial-curved-text-watermark.html

Aww, thanks. I am happy you think my swatches even halfway compare to any of the way better polish bloggers out there.

  2. I think I had this polish myself but I kept confusing it with Sephora by OPI Iris I Was Thinner (isn't that a confidence booster?) lol It's a nice polish but I think I am way over duochromes now. I can't wait to see what interesting stuff comes out in 2014

    1. I think I will always love duochromes, but now I am getting really into texture polishes. I need more of them, I only have just a few.
