Essence: The Gel Nail Polish

*Products Purchased By Me

Hey guys!

I am back today to show you guys some polishes I picked up a little over a month ago during black Friday online.

Essence was having a fifty percent off sale, and everything from this brand is already affordable. If you don't know of Essence, it is on the same affordable, but still high quality, lines of brands like e.l.f., Wet n Wild, New York Color, and LA Colors. It is a UK brand but they also sell it at Target.

I decided to try out some of their gel-like nail polishes. Usually gel-like polishes don't excite me and I usually am not impressed. They say that they are chip proof, shiny, all these things actual gel polish is supposed to be, but none of these polishes ever deliver for me.

I am going to show you how they worked for me. I didn't test them in terms of wear, but other than that I will show you how well they applied and the look of a gel.

Here is a preview of all of the items I have to show you guys.

First one that I have to show you is called you and me?. This is a light mauve creme. I did three coats with Essence: The Gel basecoat and topcoat. Application was great and didn't pool in the sides or cuticles.

Next up, this one is called my sparkling darling. This one is pretty much the same color as you and me?, but all glitter. I did three coats along with the same basecoat and topcoat. This one would be great as a topper over a dark mauve, or white, or maroon. Application was great.

Last up, this one is my favorite. This one is called island hopping. It is a dark, but also bright, teal creme. I did three coats along with the same basecoat and topcoat. Application was great.

What I loved about these polishes was how less-mess they were. They didn't require me to clean up too much from it pooling into the edges of my nails. I also really loved the basecoat and topcoat. The basecoat provided a really nice, smooth, shiny surface for the polish to stick to. The topcoat was my favorite of everything. When I applied it after I finished painting my nails, not only was it smooth and shiny, it helped disguise any bubbles or lumps or smudges that I may have made right after I painted. I would definitely recommend these polishes, and they only cost a couple bucks.

Well, that's all I have for you guys for now. I will talk to you all later, bye!
