LA Colors Review and Swatches, Part 1

*Purchased by Me or Gifted to Me

Hey guys. Sorry it has been so long since I posted, but because of the holidays I have been a little busy. I graduated college on Dec. 21st, and then my mom and dad took me out to eat afterwards. Then on the 24th, my mom, dad, and I went downtown to see the city lights and tree and wreath displays, and then yesterday of course was Christmas and we opened gifts and then my mom and I went out to pick up Christmas lunch at this healthy Chinese food place. So I have been a little busy.

I have been swatching a bit in the meantime, but probably not as fast as other bloggers could do. I was going to plan on having just one HUGE post for you all with all of my LA Colors polishes in it, but it doesn't seem like it is going to happen. One of my nils broke today, and while clipping and filing it wasn't evening out and just got smaller and smaller so I had to file and clip the rest of my nails down. I figured I'd have to wait a day for my nails to be okay again to start painting, so I thought I'd just show you guys all that I currently have swatched. Also, since the next post my nail lengths will be different and it's better to have the nail lengths be similar.

Okay, so now onto the polish. Here is a preview of all of the colors I have so far swatched. One or two polishes may not have names, so if you know the name of them, let me know. LA Colors polishes are more expensive here in Hawaii, so they have to remove the barcodes on the bottles which have the names. Okay, here they are:

The first one I have up to show you is an older swatch, ones of my first successful ones, of Blue Paradise. This is a light blue that flashes a coppery light purple in the light. I can't remember the number of coats I did, but I know this is a sheer polish. I really love this color.

Next up is another older swatch, of Pink Sizzle. This is a dark purple that has coppery tones. I think this one is more opaque than Blue Paradise. I love this color, it's so gorgeous and has dimension.

Next, this one is another older swatch. The color is called Sky Blue Glitter, a grey toned blue with glitter flecks. This is quite sheer as you can tell by the swatch, but the color is very pretty.

This is the last swatch that is older. This is Confetti over a plain white Wet n Wild mini polish. The polish is a glitter topper that is filled with silver, blue, red, copper/orange, and micro silver flecks. This was done for the 4th of July. It is very festive!

Okay, onto the new swatches! This one, I have no idea of the name, so if you do, please let me know. Maybe if you can find a swatch online of the color you feel this is, post it in the comments! I love this color, it has a lot of dimension and is just about a duochrome. You can see it is a medium bright purple it flash light purple in the light. I believe this required two to three coats.

This one is another favorite of mine, but you can tell I have a bunch of favorites. I really love this, it is called Caribbean Pink. This is a light, sheer baby pink that shimmers in the light. I did three coats.

Seventh, this one is called Blue Velvet. This is a deep shimmery blue polish. I did around two coats for this swatch. Oh yeah, so far, application has been great for all polishes!

Next, this is called Metallic Pink. This one is a metallic, foil like dark pink. I did around two coats for this swatch.

This one is called Paradise Pink, and this is from their Color Craze line. It is a bright shimmery pink. I did around three coats for this swatch. Application was great!

This one is a glitter topper, called Sassy Sparkle. It is a white and holographic glitter topper. It was hard to photograph, I realize you can hardly see the glitter, I apologize for that.

11th up, this one is called Sea Siren. This is a teal blue polish. I used two coats for the swatch. It is always really hard for my camera to capture teal polishes, so this is the best shot that I got. It is more green in real life.

The last one I have to show you this round is called Dizzy. This is a gold glitter topper, and just one coat did the trick. Glitter makes my camera freak out, so this was the best swatch I got.

All of the polishes went on wonderfully! I really recommend that you all start your own LA Colors collection, you won't be disappointed. With a price tag of $1-$1.69, where is there to go wrong?

Well, I hope you guys enjoyed the swatches. I will be back soon with part two for you guys later next week! Talk to you guys later, bye!

Rimmel 60 Seconds Swatches and Review

*Products Purchased By Me

Hey guys! I am back with that big Rimmel 60 Seconds post I promised you guys on my page.

I have a total of nine polishes to show you that I think you guys will just love!

Just to mention about the coats, I am just terrible, but I never can remember how many coats I put on each nail, but some of these can be one coaters if you are heavy handed, but for others, I needed three coats I believe. I'll note the ones that are quite sheer and need multiple coats.

So let's get to the swatches, yes? I won't do much chatting since this will be 9 images, so it will be short. Here is a group shot of them all.

The first one I have to show you is called Blue Eyed Girl. This is a gorgeous dark blue creme. This one is quite opaque, so one coat is pretty good for this one.

The next one up is called Blue My Mind. This is a nice, bright aqua blue creme color. This one is opaque in one to two coats depending on how heavy handed you are. I love these kinds of blues.

Third one I have to show you is called I Lilac You. I swatched this one earlier, maybe a month or more ago, so that's why my nails look different in this one. Can't remember how many coats I did for this one, but I believe it is sheer. This is a light purple creme that is on the blue side.

Fourth up, this is called Sweet Lavender. This a light purple creme that to me has some brown tones to it. This is sheer, so three coats are needed. I love purples like this!

Next up, this one I believe is no longer in the 60 Seconds line. This is an older bottle that I kept because it is still good, and I love bright coral oranges. This one has shimmer as well. This is around two coats.

The next one up is called Pink-A-Boo. Isn't that such a cute name? This one is a night, bright, medium pink creme. This only needed a couple coats, it is pretty opaque.

Seventh one up, this one is called Cupcake Pink. This one is similar to Wet n Wild's Lavender Pearlescent, but a little more on the peach side. This is a light coral-y metallicish/shimmery pink. I did around three coats, this goes on sheer. Oh, sorry about the index nail, there is some cracking because my nail is peeling, yick!

The eighth one up, this is my favorite of the bunch. This is called Pulsating. This is a shimmery, almost duochrome dark pink, almost purple color. I did a couple coats for this swatch. It wouldn't photograph well though, as it was bright and my camera freaks out on anything bright.

The last one of the bunch that I have to show you is called Magic Stardust. This is a silver and blue glitter topcoat. I topped this over Cupcake Pink, just one coat. What looks like bubbles in the swatch is the light silver glitter that didn't want to show up.

Well, that's all of it! I hope you guys loved my Rimmel 60 Seconds post. I love these polishes, they come in cute bottles, apply well, and have pretty colors! You can buy these at Walmart for less than $2. Not sure where else these are sold, I believe where I am they sell the other Rimmel polishes everywhere, but this line I have only seen in Walmart.

That's it! I am done for today, I hope you enjoyed, and I'll talk to you guys later! Bye!

Goombay Gal Swatches and Review

*Products Sent to Me for Review

Hey guys! I am back with a great review from a new brand that I know you guys will love a lot!

I have two lovely polishes from a new brand called Goombay Gal Nail Lacquer. Taylor is the owner of this great brand. They have a shop on Storenvy where they sell glitter polishes, some glitter toppers, some glitter cremes, and one glitter thermal, along with a couple nail art supplies.

Let's get to the swatches!

The first one of the two that I have to show you is called Slumber Party. This is described by Taylor as "White base with royal blue, purple and hot pink matte glitters. This polish is fun and playful. Great for girls night! Or any night!". I did three coats for this swatch. I love this color, plus I love the bottles that she uses for her full size polishes, it's so unique!

The second one that I have to show you is called Pumpkin Spice. This is described as "White base with red, orange and yellow glitters!". I saw it as a slight cream color, so I chose the swatch that showed it cream. I did three coats. I had trouble with my camera focusing on the polish, I guess all of the flecks upset it, so this was the best photo I got.

Application was great on both polishes, I just choose three coats each to get less visible nail line. Also, I appologize for the nub, it broke the last day of my papermaking class when we were cleaning the class, but now that school is over for good, my nails shouldn't break as often.

Goombay Gal Nail Lacquer can be bought on their Storenvy shop. Prices range from $3-$8 for their nail polish and $1-$1.50 for their nail art supplies.

Well, that's all I have for you guys today, I hope you enjoyed it! Talk to you guys later, bye!

China Glaze Happy Holiglaze Collection

 *Products Won In Giveaway

Hey guys! I am back, finally being able to show you guys this collection that I swatched.

A few weeks ago, I was one of the lucky winners on The Polish Hideout's blog of the 12-piece plus special topper collection from China Glaze called their Happy Holiglaze Collection. This was one of the hugest giveaways that I have ever won, so this made me so excited that I really wanted to swatch all of these beauties for you guys.o t

This 12 piece collection features gritty glitters, glitter toppers, shimmers, and one texture, plus the lovely topper that shifts colors.

Let's get right to the swatches.

This first one is the special shimmer duo topper that they added as a bonus, called Travel in Colour. This is a pearlescent topper that adds shimmer and a bit of duoness. I did one coat over China Glaze Shocking Pink (Neon).

The next color up is the only texture in the entire collection, called There's Snow One Like You. This is a white texture with chunky circle glitter. I just love this one a lot! I did two coats.

Next up, this one is called Elfin' Around. This is a burnt redish-orange with shimmer. This is two coats.

This one is called Just Be-Claws. It is a super rich shimmery red polish. I did two coats for this swatch.

Here is another red polish, called Santa Red My List. This one is another shimmer, and falls between Elfin' Around and Just Be-Claws.  This is around two coats. So far, all polishes have applied well.

Next up, this one is called Put A Bow On It. It is a gritty purple glitter, that almost has the consistency of OPI Liquid Sand polishes, which I love. I did two coats.

This next one is called Be Merry, Be Bright. It is a glitter topper filled with bright pink and dark purple glitter. This is three coats by itself to really show the color.

This next one is one of my favorites, because I just love colors like this. It is called So Blue Without You, around two coats. This is a shimmery bright blue. This was around one coat.

The ninth polish that I have up to show you is called All Wrapped Up. This one is another gritty purple glitter, but this one is a dark purple. This is two coats. I really love it.

This next one is called Mingle With Kringle. This is a bright gold polish. I know the ring finger looks like I missed a spot, but it's just the way it photographed. This is around two coats.

11th up, this one is called Bells Will Be Blinging. This is a teal holographic glitter topper, filled wth micro glitter and bar glitter. I topped this one over China Glaze Shocking Pink (Neon). It was a little hard to photograph, this is the best shot I got. I did one coat.

The 12th polish I have to show you is called Your Present Required. This is glitter topper filled with white, lilac, gold, and blue glitters. I did three coats by itself.

The last polish that I have up to show you is called This Is Tree-Mendous. This is another gritty glitter polish, but not as gritty as the other two. This one is an olive/military green.  I did two coats for this swatch. Not my favorite of the bunch as I am not a green fan, but nice none the less.

Well, that's the entire China Glaze Holiglaze Collection. I hope you enjoyed the swatches! I will talk to you guys later on my next post. Bye!

China Glaze Swatches and Review

Hey guys! If you have been following my Facebook page, I said I was gonna get up the China Glaze Holiglaze polishes I won up this weekend along with all of the China Glaze polishes I already owned.

I decided that I'd rather just do the ones I already owned in a separate post. I only owned three before I won the set so this post won't be long.

Let's just get right to the swatches.

The first one I have up to show you is called Shocking Pink (Neon). This is a neon pink that is kinda matte, just like the name suggests. I did two coats for this. I really love this color, it's so pretty, but I am very partial to hot pink polishes anyways.

Next up, this one is called Sexy in the City. This one was so hard to photograph, it just wouldn't photograph right for me, but my camera is wonky so it could have been my camera. Of course, my skin is not pale, and the color is more an aqua/turquoise duochrome, but this is the best shot I got. This is around two coats.

The last one that I have up to show you is called Watermelon Rind. This is a dark shimmery teal color that is just about green. I did three coats for this, as it is quite sheer and applies with some pull so three coats are totally needed.

I hope you guys enjoyed my swatches. China Glaze can be found everywhere, from beauty stores like Sally Beauty and ULTA Beauty to salons, and usually they can cost around $9.

Check back tomorrow when I will have all of the Holiglaze polishes up on my blog. For now, this is all I have to show you. Talk to you guys later, bye!
