Pinkey Nails Swatches and Review

Hey guys, back again with another great review for you!

Today I have a great trio of polishes that I was sent from the lovely Sara over at Pinkey Nails. Pinkey Nails has a shop on Etsy that she opened up on March 1st of this year. She sells both nail polish and nail art supplies such as glitter and fimo slices.

This is what Sara said about her polish endevors:

"i opened pinkey nails to share my nail polish with the world. i started making polish about a year ago, i love it, i love making polish as often as i can. i been looking for something to do in my spare time and this was it, i fell in love with polish all over again."

Let's get to the swatches now, shall we?

First up for you, this one is called Fallen Skies. This one is currently available for purchase on her Etsy page. The polish is described by Sara on her shop as follows:

"it has silver holographic glitter with blue and gold star glitters in a black base"

I did three coats for these swatches. The color just looked so great, that I needed three pictures to show you! That, and my camera photographed this one the best out of the three I swatched.

Up next I have to show you, this one is called Red Death. This one will be available to purchase next month on her shop. This one is more of a glitter topper with a super, super sheer red-ish base. It has red, black, and holographic glitter. I applied two coats on top of three coats of Wet n Wild Wild Shine Rain Check. It applied well, no problems at all. Unlike the rest of the swatches, this one was taken with flash. Sorry about the sides of my nails, I thought I got the sides cleaned up but in flash it showed otherwise.

Last one up that I have to show you is called Champagne Bubbles, but this one kinda reminds me of the ocean and mermaids. This one will be available to purchase next month as well. This is a sheer minty-teal polish with a variety of glitter, ranging from bar and hex, with colors of blue, red, copper, and so on. I did three coats because it is sheer. I love this color, it's my favorite of the three. This one turned out best in this hand position and I thought I'd just leave it as is.

Pinkey Nails can be purchased on their Etsy page. Her polishes range in price from $4 to $7, pretty affordable for indie polish I must say! She also sells nail art and nail polish supplies like I mentioned, and those range from $1-$3 for single bags.

Well, I hope you guys enjoyed my swatches! that's all I have to show you today, I will talk to you guys tomorrow. Bye!

Mi Amor Polish Swatches and Review

Hey guys, it's been a while since I had a review on my blog. Well, a week or so anyways. So I am back with a great review from Mi Amor Polishes. These were sent to me to review.

Mi Amor Polishes is a great new brand on Etsy run by Courtney, they only made their shop on Sept. 13 of this year. Pretty much all of their polishes, besides one or two, are glitter polishes or glitter toppers.

I was sent three mini polishes for review, so let me jump right into them!

The first one I have up for you is called Pretty in Pink. Courtney describes this polish as follows:

"This color is called Pretty in Pink, and is one of my absolute favorite polishes so far. In this polish there are big and small hot pink glitters as well as some matte white fiber glitters. This color has a clear base, so it can be worn on its own or on top of any color that you would like! White or light pink polishes compliment this glitter creation and really make the polish stand out!"

I did one and a half coats for these swatches. I topped it over Sally Hansen Hard as Nails No Hard Feelings. I love this color, but then again I am a sucker for super bright neon pink colors. Application was fantastic!

Next up, I have for you a color called Night On the Town. This one I decided to swatch by itself, just to see how it would come out. I did three coats. It has no base except clear, so it's probably better over another color, but sometimes I just like to see what a glitter topper looks like flying solo. This is what Courtney had to say on the color of this polish:

"This color is called Night On the Town and it is such a fun mixture of colors. This polish has a variety of glitters ranging in color and size. All of the different colors and sizes of glitters make for a fun polish that will stand out however you want to wear it! This color would go well by itself, or on top any color you would like to put it over."

Last one I have up to show you is called Raspberry Sparkle. Courtney describes this one as follows:

" This color is called Raspberry Sparkle, and is a beautiful deep red sparkle polish. Honestly, the pictures really do not do this polish justice. This polish has small dark red sparkles, and big black sparkles combined to make a beautiful color. This polish looks good by itself, or on a cream or lighter red base."

I did two to three coats on top of Wet n Wild Wild Shine Listening to Blue Reed. I did that many coats on top because it was hard getting the glitter out. The camera captured the Wet n Wild polish really bright and so it didn't want to focus so well.

Mi Amor Polishes can be purchases on their Etsy page. They cost between $7.20-$9.00 for a single polish and $8-$25 for two or more polishes of varying size.

Well, that's all I have for you guys today! I hope you enjoyed the swatches, and talk to you later!

Sally Hansen Sugar Coat Review and Swatches

Hey guys, today I am back with another post. Swatching this time. Finally, right?

I am gonna show you a few Sally Hansen Sugar Coat colors that my mom picked up at Ross for me the other day. She only paid $1.99 each!

I swatched them all at once, used one color for most nails and the other for an accent nail.

The two colors I have to show you are Razzleberry and Bubble Plum.

I decided to use Razzleberry for all nails except for middle, and to use Bubble Plum for an accent on my middle finger.

The texture comes out great, and it is dark enough that I only needed two coats for both colors. I really love texture polishes, so this is great!

These two are taken in flash:

These two are taken without flash:

Sally Hansen Sugar Coats can be found all over, at Walmart, CVS, Ross, probably more stores. THey retail for around $6 and sometimes $7 in some stores. They come in over 10 colors!

Well, that's all I have to show you now, I hope you enjoyed the swatches! Talk to you guys later, bye!

Spiffy Polish Swatches and Review

Hey guys, today I have another great review for you to feast your eyes upon. I have some great polishes from Spiffy Lacquer.

Spiffy Lacquer is owned by Heather Lester, who lives in Jacksonville, Florida, She mostly makes shimmer and glitter polishes, but also in her shop on Etsy, she sells a few journals with adorable covers like monkeys and forest animals.

I have up to show you guys four polishes that she let me pick from her shop. You will probably know why I chose these polishes after you see them. A few of the polishes I have to show you guys are based off of the Harry Potter franchise, so get excited!

First one I have up to show you is called Lumos. It is described on Heather's shop page as follows:

"Like so many other ideas, this polish color is brought to you from the wonderful world of wizardry, thanks to author J.K. Rowling and her incredible Harry Potter series. Lumos is a lovely shade of early dawn lavender, blended up with still more early dawn colors- reds, pinks, purples, and even some grassy greens. This polish is sure to light up anyone's day!"

I did two coats for this swatch. At first, I was having a little trouble with application, it was a little goopy, but then I removed it and redid it and it came out a lot better. I love this color, it's very pretty.

Next up I have for you guys is called Two by Two, Hand of Blue. This polish is described on Spiffy's page as follows:

"It's coming for you, and it won't rest until the job is done- your nails, that is! This brilliant blue polish is great, especially when you and your best friend both wear it together. It has all the blue of those scary plastic bodysuits, just a touch of shimmer to really make it reach out and grab at you, and a hint of glow, for those pursuits through the dark."

This one is great, it dries matte. I did two coats. I love this color, and this is the first matte polish I've tried too.

The third polish I have to show you guys is called My Patronus is a... This polish is described as follows on Heather's shop:

"Like so many other ideas, this polish color is brought to you from the wonderful world of wizardry, thanks to author J.K. Rowling and her incredible Harry Potter series. It is a wispy spell of a blue, with little flecks of glimmer throughout, imbuing it with bits of magic and mystery. While lovely on it's own, as is any patronus charm, it really shines when used against the dark, bringing out it's inner shine even more, chasing away the gloom."

This was a very sheer polish, so I needed three coats for opacity. I love the subtle blue color of this polish, it also can appear a bit like silver in some lights.

Last one up that I have for you guys is called A Whole New World. You can probably guess the inspiration behind this polish, but here is what Heather said on her Spiffy Nail Polish Facebook page:

"A Whole New World- inspired by Aladdin's princess Jasmine. A soft metallic aqua with gold flakes."

The formula was quite similar to My Patronus is a.... and I had to apply three coats for opacity. I love this color, so pretty!

I hope you guys enjoyed the swatches. Spiffy Nail Polish can be purchased on their Etsy page. She currently has 12 polishes and 3 journals for sale on her page. If you go to her Facebook page, you can check her photos and see other polishes she has created and you can message her and she may be able to sell some to you.

Well, that's all I have for you right now. Talk to you guys later, bye!

Wantable Box Review Part 2: Nail Polish

Hey guys, I am back again with the second and final part of my Wantable Box review. I realized I forgot to tell you about the Wantable Boxes that I am reviewing in my excitement to show you guys the first part, so I am gonna take a little time to tell you about them this time.

Wantable boxes are subscription boxes. When you go on their site, you sign up, and then you are able to choose first if you want accessories or makeup for your box. You answer a few questions to get the box tailored to only things you like. You will never get anything you dislike. Then you choose if you want to subscribe to get boxes each month or just buy a single box. You can subscribe for $36 a month or buy a single box for $40. You can choose to skip a month or cancel at any time. In your box, you will get a bunch of full sized products, never trial sizes unless they add in a sample for free. Also, if you dislike what you get in your box, you are allowed to ship it back to them for free.

Now that I have all of that out of the way, I want to show you guys the three polishes that I got. These are all from the brand Laqa & Co., which retail for $11 on their site.

They all came in boxes like the one above.

The first one I have up to show you guys is called Greedy Guts. This is your typical bright red polish. I only needed two coats for this one. Application was great, but cleanup was a little messy, so sorry for the messy swatch.

Next up is Nookie, a nice magenta/fuchsia color. I used one to two coats for this swatch. Application was great. I love colors like this, so pretty!

The third and last one in the bunch is called Blurple. It is more of a brownish purple in person, but no matter if I took the picture on my phone or digital camera, it came out a darker purple. I used just one coat for this swatch. Application was great again.

Well, that's the end of my Wantable box review. I hope you guys enjoyed it, because I sure loved getting my box and seeing what was inside that I had to show you guys!

That's all for tonight. Talk to you guys later, bye!

Wantable Box Review Part 1: Lip Products

Hey guys. If you have been following me on my Facebook page, you would know that I was given the opportunity to review September's box from Wantable. I customized my box to have just lip products and nail polish as those are the only products that I use. Today I have the first half of the box to show you, just the lip products.

First up, here is the box that I received:

Here is the lip products a little closer up:

The first one I have to show you is from be a.... bombshell. This is a lip gloss. This color is called Caliente. The color is coral. It went on really well and I love how it looked on the lips.

Next is from Lise Watier, and this is one of her Hydra Shine Lip Stains. The name of the color is Fuchsia. Since this one was a lip stain, it was tougher to apply and took a while, but the color is very pretty. It was a bit darker than my photo shows.

The last lip product I received was from the brand Cailyn, an Ultra-Moisturizing Lip Colour Pot. The color is called Dolce Vita. It is brown in the pot, but it appears very sheer on the lips. It was really glossy and I loved the feel of it. It looks like not much on the lips, it was more like a glossy lip balm in my opinion.

Well, that's all I have to show you guys right now. I will be back soon with the other half of my Wantable box, the nail polish half. I hope you guys enjoyed my swatches, sorry if they are a little heard to see, it was hard to photograph my lips.

Okay, talk to you guys later, bye!

Ruby White Tips Breaking Bad Collection: Part 2

Hey guys. Remember I did a part one of the Ruby White Tips Breaking Bad Collection and said I had a few more to show you?

Well, today is the day that I can show you guys the other two of the collection I was sent to review!

The fourth polish, which is the first of the two left that I have to show you, is called Cleptomaniac. This is a shimmery duochrome that goes from purple to dark blue. It applied well, and I did three coats. My camera is bad at photographing dupchromes, so I couldn't get the color change.

The fifth, and second one to show you today, is called Say My Name. I believe that this one is a light blue holo polish. My camera also hates holos, but I think you can tell a bit in both photos some of the holo shimmer. I applied three coats, and had no trouble with application. First show it without flash, and the second is with flash.

I hope you guys enjoyed the last of the Breaking Bad polishes that I had to show you. That's all I have right now, talk to you guys later. Bye!

Sick Lacquers Review and Swatches

Hey guys, today I am back with another review for you all. This time, I have five lovely polishes from Peggie over at Sick Lacquers. She has over 10 pages of nail polish for sale in her Etsy shop, so the little lady is pretty busy having fun making nail polish. Her polish ranges from basics, to holos, to glitters and glitter toppers.

The five I have for you today are creme/jelly glitters and glitter toppers.

The first up that I have to show you is called When The Ball Drops. This is a semi-glitter topper. When I say that, I mean it has a holo base, but it's not ich and full so when you apply it, you can totally still see nail. It also has gold, silver, and holo glitters. I used three coats alone just to see how the base appeared, but I think this one is best over another color.

Next up, this one is called Spearmint. Peggie describes this polish as follows:

"Spearmint is a beautiful crelly light green colored nail polish. This has tons of different shades of green hex glitter throughout. Also has small white hex glitter."

I applied three coats for the swatch. I had no problems with application. I love the color, such a nice bright green. My swatch may be off slightly with the green, but not by much.

The third polish I have up to show you is called The Telltale Heart. It is described as follows on Sick Lacquer's Etsy page:

"The Telltale Heart has deep purple matte heart glitter, micro fine purple & gold glitter, gold & purple hex glitter & deep purple matte diamond shaped glitter throughout"

I didn't know this polish has any heart glitters until I saw them in the listing. I wasn't able to get any hearts in my swatch. My swatch is two coats of The Telltale Heart over two coats of Sparitual Lucid. I had no problems with application. Sorry if the swatch is a little messy, I am using a new way to clean up my manis because I had problems with my old method, and I am not used to it yet.

Next up is my favorite of the five I was sent. This one is called Wunderlust. It is a blue crelly polish with medium and small white glitter and small blue glitter. I applied three coats for this swatch. I just love this color, it's so pretty and light.

Last up to show you, this one is called Grape Juice. Peggie describes Grape Juice on her Etsy as follows:

"Grape Juice is a beautiful crelly dark purple colored nail polish. This has tons of neon & regular colored glitter. Many different colors, shapes & sizes of hex glitter!!"

I applied three coats for the swatch. This swatch, along with Spearmint, were taken with my digital camera. I had no problems with application at all.

I hope you guys loved the polishes. Sick Lacquers can be purchased on Peggie's Etsy page. Her polishes range from $2.50-$8.00 for single bottles, and $11-$42 for bundles or sets.

Well, that's all I have for you guys right now. Talk to you guys later, bye!

Pound of Glitter Swatches and Review

Hey guys. Today I have a review that I wanted to get out last night from Pound of Glitter. Since I take the photos on my phone since my digital camera is super unpredictable, I had to send them to my email to upload on my computer, but my phone overheated and was sluggish so I turned it off for the night. Now it is good again, and I have all of the lovely swatches for you guys to feast your eyes on.

Pound of Glitter is owned by Lana Rose who resides in Texas. Most of the polishes in her shop are glitter filled or holographic, but she also has a couple colors without the fuss, and she also makes and sells necklaces and pendants using nail polish, which are so pretty.

She sent me four polishes to review, which make up her complete fall collection, which she calls "Falling Behind".

The first one that I have up to show you is called Get A Rake. This is a very fall polish, and looks just like the name suggests, a bunch of leaves in fall colors. It is comprised of a golden bronze shimmer base, and brown, red, green, yellow, and holo glitters. This was easy to apply, no glitter had to be fished out. One glitter in my shot does appear purple, but I believe that is either the yellow or holo glitter and it just got caught in the light.

Next up, this one is called Branching Out. This one had a quite sheer base, but it has a base other than clear so for me that meant I didn't need any polish under it. I love to show a polish just as it is as much as I can. This polish has a golden brown shimmery base with green and sliver hex glitters and micro sliver glitter. I applied three coats.

This next one has a great name, it's called Fall-a-Me to Mardi Gras. This was the only polish of the collection that had a clear base, so I swatched this one over a mini Essie polish, called Size Matters, which is a deep red. I applied a couple coats of that and then I applied two coats of Branching Out because one coat didn't have enough glitter for my taste.

The last one in this collection is my favorite of the bunch, and I bet you can tell why. It's called Mostly Ghostly. This one is a blue holo polish with blue and holo hex glitters and holo bar glitters. I applied three coats.

I hope you guys love the swatches. Pound of Glitter can be purchased on their Etsy page and they currently have 11 polishes and 18 nail polish pendants for sale. Polishes range between $5-$12 each and pendants cost $8 each.

Well, that's all I have for you guys today. Talk to you guys later, bye!

Sinister Benediction Review

Hey guys, I am back again today with another great review. This time it is for a new-to-me brand called Sinister Benediction. Their shop opened on October 31, 2012. She sells both glitter polishes and color shifting/multichrome polishes.

I am lucky to be reviewing for her one of her new polishes from her The Big Adventure collection. This collection is based off the film Pee Wee's Big Adventure, which I love the show the movie is based off of. The name of this polish is called Spearmint or Fruit. She describes the polish and how the name came to be as follows:

"Pee Wee’s convinced Francis stole his bike. In a fit of revenge that resembles playground antics in a bathtub that resembles an indoor swimming pool, Pee Wee confronts his nemesis — only to get caught by Francis’ father. As a peace offering, Pee Wee offers them their choice of gum: spearmint or fruit. Then he beats a hasty retreat before the punchline breaks loose.

Spearmint or Fruit is a semi-matte mint crelly polish filled with pale yellow, aqua, pink, and black matte glitters and a tiny bit of shimmer."

I liked the sheer base that was in the polish, so I decided to paint it on my nails alone, with no undies. I used three coats to build up the base. It went on well and removed decently. The glitter buildup was fantastic, I really got a ton to go on and didn't have to place a single piece!

This shot was taken with my digital camera. I know, rare time it wanted to take a half decent picture!

That's all I have to show you guys today. Sinister Benediction polishes can be purchased on their Etsy page and you can visit them on their Facebook page. Their glitter and color shifting polishes cost $9 and their multichromes cost $12.

Thanks for checking out my review guys, talk to you all later. Bye!

Ruby White Tips Breaking Bad Collection: Part 1

Hey guys! Today I have a great review that I am doing for the wonderful Ruby White Tips. I contacted the owner and she said she'd love for me to review for her, which made me super excited.

I am sure you all have heard of the great Ruby White Tips, but here is what she has to say about her brand on her Etsy page:

"Ruby White Tips was started by my daughter and I. We adore nail polish and thought 'why not make our own colors'. So we did. As a single parent to 2 great kids, I knew I couldn't take a job that had me away from them for long periods of time. Starting my own business seems like the best way to afford to stay home with them. I still work outside of making nail polish, I hope to one day be able to afford to do this full time."

In the Breaking Bad Collection, I was sent five polishes out of ten in the collection to review.

So far, I am allowed to show you guys three of them! Here is the first one up for you all to feast your eyes on.

This is Breaking Bronze. Ruby White Tips describes this polish on her store as follows:

" Apricot bronze color with flakes of golden foil in it. 2 coats for full coverage. This is the first polish out from the Breaking Bad Collection"

I think I applied three coats for my swatches of this one, when I did them on Thursday night.

This shot was taken in flash, so it shows it a little darker/brighter.

The next one I can show you guys is called An Ocean Full of It. This one is a duochrome green-blue polish. It looks more green without flash, and bluer in flash. I believe I used three coats. It's been a few days since the swatches so I kinda forgot. Oops, that's horrible of me. It went on sheer but became opaque in three coats.

This is in flash:

The last polish I can show you guys is called It's The Bomb, Yo!. This one is a  light blue/tealish glitter topper with holographic light blue and tealish holohgraphic glitters in squares and hexes. This is two coats. I love this one, it's so pretty! It's my favorite of the three I have to show you today.

This second shot shows a little more shine and shimmer.

These are all of the shots that I have to show you right now.

Ruby White Tips is sold on their Etsy page and you can currently purchase Breaking Bronze for $8.80. The owner, Laura Toff, sells her polishes in her shop for $6-$16.50, depending on what kind of polish it is you are looking for.

Well, that's all I have for today guys! I hope you all enjoyed the swatches and soon I will be able to show you guys the rest of the swatches. Talk to you guys later, bye!

Polish Addict Nail Color

Hey guys. Today I have another great review to show you, this time from the lovely Laura and Crystal at Polish Addict Nail Color. They sell both nail polish and nail care products. Many of their nail polishes are glitter filled and so pretty!

I was sent two great polishes to review, in cute little mini bottles. Let's get to the review.

First up, I have a gorgeous glitter topper, called Keep Calm I'm A Polish Addict. This is packed with circle glitters of all sizes, from big to micro. It has yellow, pink, red, blue, green, purple, mint, and holographic glitters, in a clear base. I applied two coats over Covergirl Outlast Stay Brilliant Glosstinis Purple Freeze, which I did two coats of as well. This shot is in a spot in my room where the light wasn't directly on my nails, but still had lots of light. The purple polish is a little brighter and lighter in person. I didn't get enough glitter in one coat, hence the two coats.

The second of the two polishes up next is called Tutti Frutti. This is a really gorgeous bubblegum pink polish with micro cherry colored glitter, and small red, pink, green and blue glitter. I applied three coats for this one. It went on great, I just love this color so much.

Polish Addict Nail Color polishes are available on their Big Cartel page, but currently their shop is on hold while they go on vacation from Sept. 5th-Sept. 20th.

I hope you guys enjoyed my review and swatches. That's all I have for you guys today, talk to you later!
